Charlie encourages Adam; Roy encourages Phoebe: Phoebe encourages her dad.
Radio Times: Eddie feels threatened, and Adam tries to hold his nerve.
Characters: Adam, Charlie, Eddie, Elizabeth, Phoebe, Roy- Having just called on Brian, to book an extra guest for the first shoot, Charlie seeks out Adam. An unexpected bonus for Charlie was a chance to speak to Debbie – via Skype. Adam is convinced that Brian would have been sounding off to Debbie about his management (mis-management) of the farm. Charlie is supportive. Does Adam believe in what he is doing? Then he should hold his nerve and keep going.
- Roy is surprised to receive a call from Elizabeth asking whether he has contact details for a band from Loxfest: she wants someone to lead a ghost walk. He is finishing the call when Phoebe arrives for some driving practice; she is pointedly unimpressed to learn who the call was from. There are road works, so they have time to talk about her university plans; she still has not finished her UCAS form. Is she being unrealistic to think of Oxford? She will never know unless she tries but it’s her decision; she is the only one who matters. Whatever she decides, she will not disappoint her dad. Phoebe apologises for her reaction to the phone call; she thinks her dad is doing well to get his life back on track.
- Eddie visits Elizabeth with a present of rabbits; he recalled that Nigel liked them, so maybe the children would. This provides an opening to discuss Christmas turkeys but he is disappointed to learn that Hugh has already ordered what they need from their usual suppliers – and they are buying geese as an experiment. From the Fairbrothers? Eddie is incensed; these locusts are grabbing all the Christmas trade, leaving nothing for the rest, i. e. for the Grundys.
