Chris continues to recover.

Radio Times: Alan is down in the dumps, and Shula seeks reassurance.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Easter wouldn’t be Easter at St Stephen’s without a donkey, so Shula has lined up Belinda for Palm Sunday. Alan is pleased; Jim recommends having a shovel handy. Alan bears news of Christopher’s progress, as reported by Amy; he suggests that Shula goes to see him: he might appreciate the chance to talk about the accident.
  • Jim’s new article is published and, to Jim’s dismay, all the ironic comments that he expected to be taken out have been left in. Emma takes the article to Chris who is suitably amused. The accident has helped him see what is important; he is set on living life to the max.
  • Alan and Usha meet at Jaxx for lunch. Alan is still annoyed about a certain member of the PCC wanting to curtail the church’s giving to worthy causes, until their deficit is reduced – familiar picture? Fortunately the others backed Alan; perhaps the answer is to raise more money but Alan asks whether that is why he became a priest.
  • Shula broaches the subject of Chris’s accident and Chris assures her that it was his own fault. She is glad to see him so much improved, as was Freddy when Elizabeth brought him yesterday. Christopher is so grateful that Shula was there and acted so quickly to get help.
