Darrell has discharged himself from hospital. Ed considers buying a puppy for George.

• Ruth and Shula have also been invited to Rob’s party, Ruth’s a bit reluctant to go but thinks it would be rude not to. She keeps trying to offer Jill a lift but Jill refuses and tells Shula it’s because Ruth keeps pestering her about making a Dr’s appointment.
• George is still playing up about Baz and kicked an elf in Santa’s grotto. He keeps saying he just wants Baz back. Ed tells Emma he’s thinking about getting George a puppy to make up for Baz. Emma is reluctant. Her parents would hate it and who would look after him during the day. Emma knows it will make him happy but it’s not that simple. They’d have to work on Susan. Then while Ed is eating a scone, he discovers it is another of Lynda’s mistakes.
• Shula bullies Rosa into going to the hospital to see Darrell only to find he’s discharged himself. Rosa says he’s always let her down. She is just going to get on with her life and that’s what Shula should do to.
• Ruth and David are delivering beef when they pass Jim in his car and spot Jill in the passenger seat. While Ruth is checking arrangements for the party with Jill, David teases her that he is on to her and Jim.
