David and Ruth are faced with an explicit threat against the children. Amy makes her peace with Usha.
Radio Times: The terror mounts at Brookfield, and is Adam ready to party?
Characters: Adam, Alan, Amy, David, Ian, Pip, Ruth, Usha- The call Pip is expecting is from Spencer but this one is more sinister – a message for her father.
- Meanwhile Ruth is helping Alan to decorate The Bull Upstairs for Usha’s party this evening. Pip’s tearful call sends her rushing back to Brookfield.
- Amy is anxious to contact Alice but neither Adam nor Ian know where she is. Can they help? Ian is a good listener. Ian waxes lyrical to Adam about the restaurant they are going to this evening, complete with a Michelin star. Truth to tell, Adam is quite tired, so he is even more pleased when Ian later reveals that the birthday treat is actually a barbecue at home – no black tie, no Michelin star.
- The message Pip took was that they will be watching her, Josh and Ben. Time to call the police again.
- Usha looks fantastic and to complete the outfit there is a beautiful necklace from Alan. He wants her to enjoy tonight and not worry about anything. Alan is struggling to get Usha on the dance floor but she is keen to hover at the entrance to greet guests, though most are here now; she wouldn’t want to miss anyone. Her patience is rewarded when Amy walks in, taking Alice’s advice to see Usha and put things right; now Usha can enjoy her party!
- Ruth, however, cannot go to the party; she feels she cannot let any of the children out of her sight. She begs David to tell the police that he won’t be their witness. This has to stop now!
