Radio Times: Jill has her say and Darrell begins to worry.

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • His new duties are becoming clearer to Darrell: Matt asks him to help unload a delivery of kitchen furniture and to pay the driver in cash. Darrell is clearly uncomfortable about this but Matt rather pointedly reminds him that his boss doesn’t need to explain.
  • Kenton is still hankering to spend time with his daughter Meriel. At Jolene’s suggestion he has a look on the web for some affordable fare deals but returns empty-handed.
  • There is an early visitor at Brookfield: Jill has come to see how they all are after the events of yesterday, which she has assumed was vandalism. David decides to put her in the picture: it was sabotage, aimed at intimidating him. The police need evidence; they have taken Josh’s camcorder away to study. Jill’s mind turns to what might have happened if Ben had wandered up there when the gang were about. Any of the visitors, especially the children, could easily have been killed.
  • Darrell reports the successful delivery of the kitchen units, but they came in an unmarked white van. Matt ‘explains’ that the driver was a mate who, though he does work for Borchester Building Supplies, sometimes works for himself.
  • David has talked to the police dealing with the yesterday’s incident; the detective from Adam’s case has called too – obviously to check that he was still on board. Jill assures him that she is proud of his stance, and Phil would have been too, but he should think about Ruth and the children and their safety. David is adamant: they have agreed to see this through. Isn’t that right Ruth?
