Ed considers his position, and Lynda puts her foot in it.
Radio Times: Lynda puts her foot in it
Characters: Alan, Ed, Eddie, Emma, Lynda, Susan- Ed discusses the job offer from Home Farm with his father. Emma is, of course, very keen, as having a stable full-time job will make it easier for them to get a mortgage. She is also worried about Joe offering to look after Ruby while Lilian and Justin are on honeymoon. Holly won’t like another dog being there.
- At the village hall, the boiler isn’t working. Lynda is happy to offer the conservatory at Ambridge Hall for the evening.
- Emma tells her mum about the job offer. Susan says she should pressurise Emma into making Ed take the job. She laments Neil not keeping his job at Borchester Mills; he’d have had a pension to look forward to.
- Ed is still unsure about the job. He likes being able to choose what work he does, being independent like Joe and Eddie. Emma tries to point out the downside of this, like losing Grange Farm. She wants him to compromise. He’s worried that he’d also need to do freelance work to make enough money. Emma suggests he asks Adam for more money.
- Lynda is still interrupting and improvising during the rehearsals. Surely Susan remembers the last time they did Sleeping Beauty? Oh, no, Susan was in prison that year! Eddie and Susan insist that Alan talk to Lynda about her changes, or they won’t be coming to rehearsal tomorrow.
