Ed is determined to make a new start in relation to Will. Peggy gives Rob and Helen her blessing.
Radio Times: Ed turns over a new leaf, and Peggy makes her mind up.
Characters: Ed, Eddie, Helen, Kirsty, Pat, Peggy, Rob, Tom, Tony- Pat notices Tony is spending more time in the barn and seems more cheerful. Pat says Kirsty is coming round to discuss the wedding – she is glowing. Tony says that’s the problem, Tom can’t see beyond his own happiness at the moment.
- Eddie is still furious with Ed and Will. He was ashamed of them. Eddie says he’d heard it all a million times – he is sick of it and so is Clarrie. Ed tries to claim he was thinking about George but Eddie says he wasn’t thinking of George at all. And to finish Clarrie off, Will was on the phone first thing blaming Ed as if he’d learnt nothing from last night at all.
- Pat and Tony are thrilled at having the wedding at Bridge Farm. Nothing would give them more pleasure. But later Tony is shocked that Tom hasn’t discussed his cropping plans with him. He seems to have taken Peggy’s will as a licence to do what he likes.
- Ed and Eddie finish the van for Darrell. It will be a new start for him. And talking of new starts, Ed says he is going to make a new start. Whatever Will does, Ed is going to think about what matters most to him – Emma and the children. Eddie says maybe something good has come out of it.
- Rob and Helen go round to see Peggy. Peggy admits that she was shocked about Rob. She hopes that Helen wasn’t responsible for the break-up of Rob’s marriage. Helen says they’d been having problems for a long time. Peggy agrees that he is very charming and that if he makes her happy and is good with Henry, maybe he is exactly what she needs. They tell Peggy about Susan’s lottery win. The story is now that the lottery people actually came to see them and they opted for the no publicity clause so maybe it is a big win. (Those of a sensitive disposition might like to cover their eyes for the next sentence). Rob says he feels like he has won the Lottery in finding Helen. Peggy says she is all for second chances the sooner they can be together properly the better.
