Elizabeth has decided on her expansion plan. Jazzer’s bawdy song gets Lynda’s embarrassed approval.
Radio Times: Jazzer makes Lynda blush, and Elizabeth is on a high.
Characters: Eddie, Elizabeth, Jazzer, Jill, Jim, Joe, Lynda- All systems are go for the Lower Loxley expansion; Elizabeth has decided to go for the wedding/conference markets. A start will be made on the outline plans after Christmas. Elizabeth is actually looking forward to Christmas.
- It’s crowded in The Bull. Jazzer is worried that Lynda might find his song too bawdy when he rehearses it for her this evening. Jim is a good ally. Jazzer reckons that Joe is selling holly and mistletoe over the odds to people who feel sorry for him. Joe doesn’t care why they are buying it! Despite Eddie’s best efforts to shout him up, Joe insists on telling how Clarrie found a bit of Joe’s old false teeth inside a turkey, having been eaten by the bird. Louder Dad, they didn’t hear in the Ploughman’s.
- Jill reports to Lynda on the status of food plans for the show; it’s well under control. Lynda is still puzzled by the strange additions to her posters but Jill doesn’t enlighten her. Jazzer arrives to sing his song and Jim asks Lynda not to be too hard on him. One verse is enough for Lynda (she must have a better ear for Jazzer’s accent than I do). Jim moans about his association with Borchester Life; Lynda reminds him that she did warn him.
- Eddie explains that he didn’t want Joe to spread the false teeth story for fear of having turkeys returned. He feels for Ed, who will be moving out of Rickyard tomorrow; Joe advises to banish thoughts of having failed Ed, rather to concentrate on helping him get back on his feet.
