Elizabeth is overcome that Roy has managed to get the Pet Shop Boys as the replacement act at Loxfest.

Radio Times: Loxfest is under way, and Roy has some news.

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • There are significant protests from female protesters outside of Loxfest but only Jamie could say how fit they were. Fallon thinks her stall is going well and Harrison is pleased with the attention the Morris van is doing. He’s more nervous about his performance, Fallon says he’ll be fine and gives him a good luck kiss.
  • Roy has also had some trouble with the protesters who were actually physically pushing at him. They can’t announce that Quaintance Smith are being replaced until they have a good replacement – better than the X Factor reject.
  • Dan is trying to teach Jamie proper camping and laying his kit out with torches and such like. Jamie is more interested in the band than whether Dan has to wear a white belt for being untidy. Dan also notices Freddie is smoking again.
  • Kenton tries to distract Elizabeth from worrying about whether they have a headline band. She doesn’t even seem interested in the Midnight Walkers. Suddenly Harrison seems totally up for the gig though – he went away for a walk and came back grinning like a Cheshire Cat. Wayne doesn’t seem to be helping with either Jolene or Harrison though, even though he is enjoying being “part of the scene” again. Then when it comes time to go on, Jolene becomes overcome with stage fright. She can’t do it. Kenton convinces her that she is her Dolly Parton. And that does it.
  • During the set Roy finds Elizabeth and tells her that they have found the Pet Shop Boys as a replacement act. Elizabeth wonders what she would do without him……. fade to black.
