Elizabeth is tempted out of her musical comfort zone and Jolene is tempted right back in.

Radio Times: Brian despairs, and Roy has a suggestion for Jolene.

  • Arrangements are going ahead for the LoxFest; Roy has a favoured events manager who – unlike some – seemed very enthusiastic about the project.
  • What on earth is going on? Jennifer’s new kitchen requires demolition of a wall, just a little one. Brian can’t stand the noise. It gets worse later because the floor has to come up – for the underfloor heating.
  • In the shop, Jill and Jolene exchange observations of the May Day event; a lot of the success was down to the atmosphere in the hall, largely Fallon’s work. Jill reveals that she has offered to help Emma and Nic with the catering for Clarrie’s party; she thinks the younger women are finding the 70s theme a bit daunting.
  • Next, Jill turns up at Lower Loxley (is she driving again?), where Roy has had another idea: Elizabeth should go to a nearby music festival to get the feel of it; Roy thinks he can get tickets. Elizabeth was unsure but, when mum says it’s a good idea, gives in.
  • Brian has sought refuge in The Bull, hoping for some peace and quiet. Roy is looking for Fallon to talk about local bands but she is at Jaxx this evening. Jolene reveals a lack of enthusiasm to go to LoxFest as a spectator, but Roy certainly has her interest when he suggests reviving the Midnight Walkers.
