Elizabeth resumes the reins at Lower Loxley. Clarrie resumes the reins at Bridge Farm.
Radio Times: It is a very special day at Bridge Farm and David gets the answers he is looking for.
Characters: Clarrie, David, Elizabeth, Helen, Pat- Clarrie is eager to get back to work, and arrives early. She’s determined that Vicky should not usurp her position, and scores a minor triumph by failing to tell her that Henry will be arriving at Bridge Farm later.
- Elizabeth and David go through the Lower Loxley Diary, and poor Elizabeth is thrown by finding Nigel’s handwriting in it. She finds it very stressful trying to get back into the routine, but is hugely relieved when David tells her all three schools have agreed to postpone the twins’ entrance exams for five weeks.
- Tony brings Helen and Henry home to endless coos and fussings. Helen wonders what Pat has planned for Tony’s sixtieth birthday, but this is rather brushed aside as Pat goes into organising Granny role. Kathy is coming for a meal on Thursday; Tony will just have to go to the pub if he doesn’t like it.
- Clarrie enjoys a chat with Nic as they cook a roast dinner. She tells Nic about Vicky and her fears that she will try to take her job. Nic commiserates, and tells Clarrie she must show Vicky who is boss. After all, she is the senior employee.
