Elizabeth’s Radio Borsetshire interview goes very badly and Roy is in the firing line.
Radio Times: Wayne steps in to help Jolene, and Loxfest has a PR disaster.
Characters: Ed, Elizabeth, Jolene, Rhiannon (Radio Borsetshire), Susan, Wayne- Elizabeth and Jolene are both pretending everything for Loxfest is going well. Kenton is being kept busy anyway. Elizabeth is on her way to Radio Borsetshire for the next interview. Wayne turns up early for the ban rehearsal. Wayne agrees that the band is lacking passion – but he’s blaming Jolene not Harrison. Jolene storms off to listen to Radio Borsetshire.
- Susan isn’t impressed that Ed didn’t bother to let them know he wasn’t coming back. Ed tries to apologise but Susan is more interested in whining about the cooking for Loxfest. But she did have to do the childcare too. However, sorting out her hair seems more important.
- The interview for Radio Borsetshire begins well but then she turns to the controversy about domestic violence.
- Susan whines on about Ed not showing appreciation and he says that’s why he is working to get out from under their feet. They stop to listen to Elizabeth who has a problem with the interview – they keep wanting her to ban the band and start talking about how it will set a bad example to Lily.
- After the interview Wayne says the only good thing is that no one will be talking about the Midnight Walkers, but she does begin to realise that she is causing some of the problem by finding it awkward with Harrison. Wayne suggests he can help them warm up before the gig – she can relive her glory days.
- Elizabeth is far from happy with the interview and tells Rhiannon she will be talking to Roy “very soon”.
