Elizabeth tries to heal old wounds. Kirsty tries to establish a friendship with Tom. Rob tries to escape from the past.

• When Elizabeth calls to see Jill, she finds a bad patient; Jill is fed up with being confined to Brookfield and is rude about all her visitors. Elizabeth suggests a drive out to cheer her mother up.
• Busy on the farm, Tom is surprised to see Kirsty. She thanks him for backing off after the proposal, and asks him never to propose again; Tom agrees. They will just be friends. However, Kirsty does ask him to come with her for her next scan.
• Impatient with the delay in paying him hush-money, Stefan shows up at Rob’s office and comments that Rob lied about being unemployed. A flustered Rob claims that he works just a few hours for Damara, but Stefan brushes the lie aside. He wants the money or he will tell everyone what really happened during the flood. Rob tries bluster, but in vain. Stefan will tell Justin Elliott everything if Rob does not pay twice his original demand. He will meet Rob at 4pm on Friday in the café, and Rob had better bring the money – or else…
• Elizabeth gently tries to make Jill see that the Fairbrothers are not important; they are history. She knows how much Phil loved Jill, and Elizabeth has always envied Jill that. She loved Nigel, but is ready to love again. Jill’s unreasoning hatred of Toby is driving Pip away. It’s time to forgive and forget.
• As Stefan leaves, he encounters Lilian. By now Rob is very nervy. Did Lilian hear what ‘the fertiliser rep’ said? She claims to have heard nothing, but seems amused by Rob’s disconcerted manner.
