Emma finds herself alone. Fallon finds herself some welcome company.
Radio Times: Emma calls for back-up and Harry hankers after a holiday.
Characters: Emma, Fallon, Harry, Kenton, Susan, Tracy- Tracy bursts in on Susan demanding that she tell Emma to drop her accusation against Keith. Lamely Susan tries to defend Emma, but a furious Tracy insists Emma’s story is all lies.
- The milk round is very slack with summer holidays, and Harry thinks he should take some time out. The trouble is that he has no money. Oddly, Fallon is in the very same situation, so she asks if he would like to join her for a trip in her camper van. Harry is keen, and agrees to find out what festivals are on.
- Having failed to get her way with Susan, Tracy now bursts in on Emma, making Keira cry. She claims that Keith is in bits, and Emma will be responsible if he harms himself. She orders Emma to go to the police and say she was mistaken. Emma stands her ground; she knows what she saw. She orders Tracy out of the house.
- When Kenton returns to The Bull, Fallon asks his advice about holiday venues. Kenton suggests the Edinburgh Festival, which appeals to both Fallon and Harry. That is where they will head.
- Distraught, Emma turns to Susan for support, but finds none. Susan suggests that Emma has built the story up in her head, as she did over George’s paternity. If Emma has the smallest doubt she should say so. But Emma knows who she saw on the night of the fire.
