Emma is proud of her family and new home. Jill is distressed to hear of Justin Elliott’s plans to tear down the farmhouse.

• George is proud of his Wise Man costume and shows it to off to an admiring group who also remark on the lovely manger scene.
• Lilian and Carol sample the mulled wine before Carol’s party. They discuss the dress rehearsal of Lynda’s version of Coward. Apparently it didn’t go very well what with Lilian’s drinking on stage and inopportune falling curtains.
• Carol’s party is a hit but Jennifer takes advantage of using the upstairs loo to nose around Carol’s things for clues to John’s death. Lilian is exasperated and finds Jennifer to tell her she must return to the party immediately.
• Emma and Clarrie are tearful about the performances of George and Keira in the Nativity play. Emma takes the opportunity to invite Clarrie, Eddie and Joe to #1 The Green for Christmas dinner. Emma plans to invite her mum and dad, as well. Clarrie is touched and offers a Grundy turkey for the meal.
• Jennifer tells Jill that Justin Elliott plans to raze the farmhouse and erect a large country mansion in its place. Jill is so distressed that she hurries home to confront Ruth and David. They are shocked and say only that they knew he wanted to bring his architect around to see about some alterations. Jill protests that they can’t allow this but David sadly replies that they have agreed to the sale and can’t do anything about future changes.
