Fallon shares her vision. Neil applauds Tom’s vision. Peggy’s vision undergoes a change of focus.

Radio Times: Jazzer is disgruntled, but both Peggy and Fallon have plans.

  • In mud as thick as Jazzer’s accent, Johnny helps the Glaswegian to move pig arks. He tells Jazzer about going with Tom to take cattle to market, but seems anxious when the subject of handling cattle is raised. Neil later appears, and appeases Jazzer by offering to buy him and Johnny a drink at The Bull.
  • In eager anticipation of her share of Kenton’s fortune, Fallon takes Harrison to view a possible site for her business. The loved-up constable is full of admiration for Fallon’s vision, and seems ecstatic beyond all measure when the idea of a Karaoke night is proposed.
  • The new, Susan-inspired masterful approach seems to have worked when Tom consults Neil about his plans for the pig business. With the two of them working together, how could the business fail, declares Tom. Neil is moved not only to wish him a happy birthday, but to say how proud Tony must be of the way Tom has kept his vision.
  • Someone else is proud of the birthday boy; Peggy has given him some money, and then tells him she intends changing her will. Tom claims that is what he wanted all along. Both of them profess major guilt about Tony. Peggy needs Tom’s support when she tells Helen of her change of heart; of course he will come.
  • Johnny and Jazzer arrive at The Bull just as Pat and Tom come in, so Pat takes over buying the drinks. For the price of three pints Jazzer will help shift furniture in readiness for Tony’s homecoming. The still-loved-up PC and the acting landlady exchange a kiss and pints are pulled. A toast is proposed to the lucky birthday boy. His return has made such a difference to them all. Maybe it’s his new voice and lack of endless sausage-talk.
