Radio Times: Mike feels torn and Lily speaks her mind.
Characters: Eddie, Elizabeth, Freddie, Joe, Lily, Mike, Roy- As Joe and Eddie make the shed ready for the turkey poults they muse on ways to use up the boar meat. It seems no-one else shares their enthusiasm for it.
- Roy looks in on Freddie, who is very sorry for himself. His mood is not helped by his nasty twin sister, who sneers at Freddie and tells him he is pretending to be a hero. Elizabeth attempts to intervene, but there is no stopping Lily, who gloats that Freddie will miss rugby and fall miles behind with his schoolwork. Eventually she admits that she feels there have been too many accidents in the family already, and this moves Elizabeth to tears. She knows she should have stopped Freddie, but the look on his face made her give in.
- Concerned that Mike is relapsing into depression, Roy tries to get him to come for a pint. Mike refuses, but when Roy explains his worries, Mike admits that he has a lot on his mind, and tells Roy about the baby. Mike feels it must be his fault in some way; he has seen similar things in the herd. Sensible Roy points out that Mike and Vicky must sit down and talk the options through, but Mike knows this will never happen. Vicky has made her mind up and will never listen. All Roy can do is tell Brenda, and make sure the news remains within the family.
