Harrison and Fallon plan to take a big step in their lives together and Will makes a nuisance about Anisha playing cricket.

Radio Times: Harrison thinks it is time to move on, and Jill is keen to be involved

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • Fallon and Harrison talk about themes for the Ambridge fete. Harrison isn’t very helpful but complains there are too many things stored in their small space. Fallon remembers to tell Harrison that she has been shortlisted for the Food and Drink Award. They both need showers but hope the boiler will be fixed very soon.
  • Kirsty and Jill discuss goings on in the village and Kirsty brings up the old department store where Jill used to conduct food demonstrations. The building is a bit dilapidated but there is a pop up cafe on the ground floor. It is a pay as you feel place, using donated or left over produce. Kirsty has volunteered starting soon. Kirsty notes that it is great to help out when people are dedicated to making a real difference.
  • Anisha complains to Harrison about not having changing rooms for the women. Will whinges about Anisha running the catching practice and when Rex defends her, Will takes a jab at him. Rex apologises to Harrison for letting Will get to him and Harrison encourages him to take it out on the cricket ball.
  • Kirsty explains more about the pop up cafe, the Happy Friends Cafe, to Jill. Donations come from allotments and take aways as well as from groceries. Jill talks a bit about rationing. Kirsty is passionate about not wasting resources. Jill wishes to volunteer along with Kirsty if she doesn’t mind Jill tagging along.
  • Will complains about Anisha’s bowling. Anisha suggests that Will go and play somewhere else if he doesn’t like it. Rex comes up and suggests that Will feels threatened by women. Rex asks why Will agreed to play for another team as long as they don’t play women. The captain told Rex when he rode in his cab. Flustered, Will retorts that the captain shouldn’t have told him. Rex and Anisha have a drink and Rex gets a text with good news from his gosling supplier. Rex notes that he is happy Anisha is talking to him again. They both agree they aren’t looking for a serious relationship; they each only want a bit of fun. Rex’s 30th birthday is coming up and he asks Anisha to come to the pub where he plans to meet up with mates. She teases him about the ‘old man’ way of celebrating. Won’t she come anyway, asks Rex? I’ll see, replies Anisha.
  • Now Fallon has difficulty with the electricals. Also, a new boiler is planned but the bad news is that it will be another week before installation. Harrison says maybe all this trouble is a sign that they should look for a place together. Fallon is thrilled when she realises Harrison means to buy their own place. As Fallon hugs him with joy, Harrison tells her that it is about time.
