Hayley tries to make Kate see sense.
Radio Times: Hayley tries to make Kate see sense.
Characters: Alistair, Clarrie, Hayley, Kate, Ruth, Shula, Usha- Hayley’s having trouble with Eric, he’s been moved down to the yard ahead of a being a spectacle for the forthcoming farm walk, except his wanderlust has returned – but this time the yard is locked up so he’s not got far to go. Clarrie helps …. until he seems to take a dislike to her!
- Alistair’s at Brookfield to see to some of the new calves. He mentions being invited to a birthday do for David at the Bull. There have been enough family get-togethers recently for Ruth, so this time it’s off the premises … and a lads’ night-out!
- Hayley’s off to visit Kate and Baby who are swimming in her parents’ pool. Kate’s still not happy with Hayley’s position between her and Roy (who she still sees as superfluous as far as the baby is concerned), but has spoken to the welfare officer about her, possibly, being the neutral third party. An exasperated Hayley has still to convince her that the Baby is the only one who matters.
- Usha’s car has broken down and she’s worried about how she’s going to both get home tonight and get to the station tomorrow ahead of her advocacy exams in London. Fortunately, Clarrie offers to wait for the breakdown service and Ruth offers her a lift home _and_ to cook her tea.
- Shula and Daniel call on Alistair about his sponsorship money. He willing pays over his dues and they’re obviously on better terms, but nothing more than that.
