• Larry asks Lynda if she’ll be involved in some of the panto’s front of house activities like ticket-selling and, spurned for a role, she refuses, citing the time needed for the fashion show as a reason for not being worried about her not having a part. She, without any malice, refuses him a part in the fashion show, but Peggy observes that they are missing a compere and he’d be only too delighted to oblige them.
• Marjorie’s very vigourously selling poppies and bumps into Satya, who’s been buying Shula a congratulatory card. Mrs A hadn’t heard the news and is pleased, but Peggy, who’d heard from Tony, is less sure. Satya suspects that if Richard and Usha had tied the knot their problems might not have been so insurmountable.
• Jack’s worried about tomorrow’s shoot, not least because it clashes with Brian’s and some of his party are staying at Grey Gables. He’s concerned that their bar-room banter might turn nasty and is generally fussing about the whole thing.
