Janet rearranges Christmas
Radio Times: Janet rearranges Christmas
Characters: Alistair, David, Janet, Jill, Phil, Ruth, Shula- Jill’s discussing her fears with Janet over the wedding, that she might have been happier if they’d waiting – not just that she’s got lots to do around Christmas without catering for their reception too!
- Janet suggests to Alistair that they have a blessing in church and he’s keen on that idea. She manages to rejig her calendar to allow them to follow their civil wedding with a blessing on Christmas Eve.
- Brookfield is fraught with worries, even Bert senses something worrying (unnecessarily) about his own future. Ruth’s even been searching on the web in order to try and get cheaper feed prices by not dealing with middle men.
- First David has a go at his father regarding his attitude to Ruth, then Jill points out that it wasn’t her fault and it wasn’t as if Phil opposed the herd expansion on the basis of TB worries. Eventually he sees the error of his ways and apologises for his behaviour toward her.
- Shula’s had a good day at her conference on church tourism with some good ideas for the future exploitation of St Stephens.
