  • Kenton’s plans for a quiet evening in an armchair with the paper are interrupted, first by Jolene nagging him about arrangements for the Community Games, then by Lynda, extolling the pretentious virtues of her theatre company. Finally Fallon and Harry drag him off to train The Bull’s team for the games.
  • News of Fallon and Harry’s holiday plans have reached Jazzer, who, as a Scot, thinks he should tag along. Harry politely reminds him that Mike would never allow them both to be away at the same time, so Jazzer turns his persuasive charms on Fallon, who is equally lacking in enthusiasm for Jazzer’s company. Jazzer then asks Jolene whose idea the holiday was, but Jolene remains non-committal.
  • Eddie turns up on the green and is not impressed by Lynda’s rehearsal. He offers Kenton a boar burger, which Kenton quite enjoys, until he learns it is road-kill. Suddenly his appetite deserts him, and he rejects Eddie’s offer to supply Jaxx and The Bull.
  • Harry buys a morose Jazzer a drink. Mike has said no to his request for holiday, but Jazzer has no intention of letting the matter drop.
  • Lynda’s luvvies turn down her invitation to The Bull in favour of Eddie’s Cider Club. A dejected Lynda goes home. Wayne rings Jolene. As she goes to speak to him, Kenton thinks roll on New Zealand.
