Jazzer has an idea for a new ticket to Edinburgh. Vicky tells Mike she is pregnant.

Radio Times: Mike has a lot to take in. Jazzer proves to be indispensable.

Characters: Adam, Fallon, Ian, Jazzer, Mike, Vicky

• Mike is back from his course and looking forward to Phoebe coming home. Vicky suggests it would be nice to have a quiet lunch together; Mike doesn’t know it yet but Vicky has some major news to impart.
• Ian too wants to talk; Adam is never at home these days so he has gone out to where Adam is working. Has Adam thought about his other work at Home Farm? Ian is annoyed and upset that Adam, without consulting him, has taken a course that might result in leaving Ambridge – which Ian doesn’t want to do.
• Fallon’s day is not going well. Her van, central to the forthcoming holiday in Edinburgh with Harry, wouldn’t start. Jazzer appoints himself her mechanic – for a free pint.
• At Willow Farm Mike is preoccupied with falling milk orders but eventually Vicky gets a word in – and the word is pregnant. It’s going to be wonderful isn’t it? Mike isn’t so sure; he needs time to get used to the idea.
• Jazzer works wonders with Fallon’s van, which gives him the idea that a resident mechanic would be a good thing to have on her trip to Edinburgh. Too bad Mike won’t give him the time off.
