  • Jennifer and Phoebe collect Kate from the airport who is excited to be home for Christmas. Kate tries to engage a less-than-interested Phoebe in conversation, but Phoebe shows more interest in listening to her music. Jennifer brings Kate up to date on Tony’s condition and the goings-on at Brookfield, while Kate shares her own updates on yoga, chakras and her vegan lifestyle changes. A stunned Jennifer fears she can only offer up a mushroom for Kate’s Christmas dinner.
  • Emma and Fallon discuss Fallon’s costume for Blithe Spirit while setting up their festive goodies at Father Christmas’s grotto. The event is popular and the festive fayre is soon flying off the table.
  • An excited George tells Father Christmas his hopes and wishes, with a reminder not to forget he has moved house. During a break, the identity of Father Christmas is revealed to a surprised Fallon, who hadn’t realised Harrison had taken on the role. Realising he must have put in a good word for her to secure the invite to today’s event, she thanks him. Christmas plans are discussed and it transpires that Fallon will be working at the pub and Harrison, no longer with Justine, will volunteer at the homeless shelter. With Fallon in Blithe Spirit on Boxing Day and Harrison having already bought his ticket, their paths are set to cross again…
  • Jennifer and Kate deliberate whether Kate will be contacting Roy during her stay. Phoebe catches Kate wrapping her Christmas present which she is pleased with, so this helps break earlier tensions between them. Phoebe regrets that things can’t be as they were and misses the family Christmas she would have been having this year. She doesn’t think she can forgive Roy. Kate listens and reassures her daughter that the two of them will have a lovely Christmas.
