  • Rob is working himself up into a state and won’t go out until he’s spoken to Jess. He thinks her behaviour is insane. Henry is disappointed but Helen gets him to leave.
  • Once Helen has gone out he calls Jess to ask what she is playing at. The baby is crying in the background and Jess hangs up as Rob denies he is his son. Jess does ring him back. Rob continues to deny he is the father and is shocked to hear he is named as the Father on the birth certificate and is even more horrified that his mother has seen the baby. Rob refuses to listen and refuses to be blackmailed into a paternity test. Jess insists he’ll have to. What is he so afraid of?
  • Shula and Elizabeth arrange to meet up with Jill and cake at Lower Loxley. Shula admits to Elizabeth that she still feels guilty about taking the money. Elizabeth says she shouldn’t. She sees the money as a godsend and a year without having to worry about the bills, and somehow that links to her finding a new bloke.
  • Helen bumps into Elizabeth at Lower Loxley to go up to the Treetop Walk. Elizabeth comments on how good Rob is with Henry.
  • Alan gives a sermon on Plough Monday. Jill gets upset at him talking about keeping the land the way it should be. She felt he was blaming David and Ruth for not being good custodians. Shula tries to convince her that Justin buying the land was inevitable but Jill doesn’t think many in the village agree with that. They think David and Ruth have let the side down. Shula explains that the SAVE committee are having their photo taken with the Plough and they hope the papers will cover it though the Echo aren’t being very cooperative.
  • Rob tells Helen that Jess has put her name on the birth certificate. Helen thinks she must be mistaken but Rob says she is being vindictive. She can’t forgive him for being so happy with Helen. Rob says she can’t get away with it and he’ll call the CMS and tell them that there is no way he is the Father of that child.
