Joe is still taking a long time to recover.

Radio Times: Joe is a bit more cheery and there is an opportunity for Kathy.

Joe is still making a ridiculous fuss about a broken wrist and expecting Clarrie to do everything for him. A letter comes offering him £1500 to settle. Eddie doesn’t think he should accept but Joe isn’t sure. Eddie tries to convince him to go for more. He should at least think about it for a few days.
Caroline talks to Kathy about the job. Kathy tells her about Martyn Gibson and Caroline agrees that Martyn is not an easy customer. She offers her the job on a stop gap basis and Kathy is looking forward to getting stuck in again.
Nic brings the new baby around to meet Joe and it really seems to cheer him up. Emma joins the party and notices that Poppy is wearing one of Vicky’s t-shirts. It doesn’t stop her being competitive about Keira’s education and says how she has made a card for Joe. George lets it drop that it was Emma that made it. So she moves on to being competitive over her cookery book, especially now that Nic can’t do the calendar. She asks Clarrie to help but she can’t with Joe.
Eddie takes Joe to The Bull and is very rude to Oliver. It exhausts Joe though and he doesn’t really seem part of it. Eddie wonders if he’ll ever get better but Clarrie says they have to look to the future. What would Eddie ever do without her?
