Josh impresses his parents. Pip makes demands on her parents.

Characters: David, Eddie, Jill, Josh, Phoebe, Pip, Ruth- Phoebe does her best to boost Josh’s morale as he sets off to present his business plan to David and Ruth.
- At Brookfield, Jill lends a hand weeding. She is pleased to hear of Josh’s interest in the egg business, and to hear that Pip has her placement secured. David wishes he could share her pride in Pip, but Jill quickly reminds him about what he was like at Pip’s age. Ruth comes to summon David in for Josh’s presentation, leaving Jill to the weeds.
- David and Ruth are hugely impressed with Josh’s business plan. As Josh goes off to ring Phoebe, David smugly remarks that they have produced an infant Alan Sugar. Ruth has some reservations over Josh putting all his savings into the project, though is happy to lend him the extra capital he needs.
- Pip arrives home and wastes no time before demonstrating her mastery of rudeness and sulks. She wants to take the Land Rover to university tomorrow because she is going to a revision class, but David says no. Ruth offers to take her to the station, but that does not suit stroppy Pip. She demands £800 to add to the insurance money for a new car. Sorry, says David. You will just have to buy a cheaper car.
