Radio Times: Kirsty’s in cheering-up mode, and Lilian tries to put things right.

Characters: , , , ,
  • A miserable Tom makes a delivery to Ambridge Organics. Kirsty asks if Helen has heard from Jonathan; she wants to set up a double date with them. Realising dates are the last thing Tom wants to think about, Kirsty helps him unload and makes him coffee. As they drink it she does her best to encourage him. The Bellingham’s tasting proves he is on the right road. She is sure that Tom has a bright future.
  • With Matt away golfing, Lilian is able to meet Paul, who is in a nasty mood. He claims to have been unwell, and then admits that his ex-wife’s wedding is upsetting him. Lilian gets him to talk about it, and all Paul’s anger and jealousy manifest themselves. He is less than truthful about the wedding’s effect on his children, however, as becomes clear when Lilian goes shopping and his daughter rings.
  • Tom meets Peggy outside the village shop, and she loses no time in saying that Tom was right to sell the herd. With his business acumen, the sky is the limit for Tom.
  • Lilian consoles Paul, but he is so full of self-pity that even the offer of a romantic afternoon doesn’t tempt him.
