Justin assumes he and Lilian will get married. Lilian is far from keen on the idea.

Radio Times: Justin looks to the future, and Robert and Jim go head-to-head.

  • Usha is looking forward to nets but Susan thinks that an “elegant professional” shouldn’t want to stand around with a load of sweaty men.
  • Justin and Lilian are out for breakfast at the tea room when they bump into Robert. He wants to up his game on the birdwatching. They are off to the lake and Justin wonders if they should do the same. Lilian thinks it might make their relationship a bit more domestic. But they agree to Glyndebourne for Don Pasquale (I’m going to that, will report back on their behaviour!) and to Ascot. They discuss other options and Lilian mentions Alderney. Justin suggests it might be ideal for their honeymoon. Lilian is completely taken aback.
  • Anisha’s mother is getting better but she is having to care for her Mum and her Dad. She is very apologetic not only about the work but about the delay in getting new clients. Alistair says he’ll do some phone bashing. Shula says he knows enough about horses, he’s had enough practice.
  • Both Jim and Robert are conducting birding tours and are enjoying doing each other down. They practically came to blows over the matching tours. All of the guests appeared to have left, not least because of the noise they were making. Justin intervenes to try to calm them down which works briefly at least.
  • Usha is enthusiastic at nets. Harrison is far less convinced. Robert also, talking to Alistair later has his doubts. She is clearly very intelligent but doesn’t seem to be able to get it. However, her positivity calmed down Molly and encouraged Lily. It’s great to have a cheerleader but they really need to have someone who can bat and bowl.
  • Later, Lilian phones Justin desperately hoping it will go to voicemail but he answers. She says she has so much Amside work to do and because all of her paperwork is at Home Farm, she’ll have to stay there for a while….
