• Kate is absolutely furious about the various statements written for the case, even demanding that Caroline should sack him! She’s livid at Hayley for defending him but Hayley defends herself that she didn’t denegrate Kate, merely painting Roy positively and suggests (to deaf ears) that Kate has forgotten who the most important person in this plot his. Kate is still adamant that Roy’s not getting his hands on her child.
• Tommy’s passed his re-taken Maths GCSE and Hayley almost accepts an invitation for a celebratory drink – until she finds out that Helen would be there too.
• Shula talks over her Alistair problems to Caroline, beside reminding her that she’s had a fairly complicated time in her various affairs of the heart, Caroline’s advice is, no matter how trite it seems, to just accept the situation and move on, because time will help.
