Kenton fails to propose to Jolene but she says yes anyway.
Radio Times: Jolene’s taken by surprise, and Jamie’s in the mood to party.
Characters: Jamie, Jazzer, Jolene, Kenton, Lilian, Tony- Kenton has been busy getting things ready for the Ceilidh because he has SOMETHING IMPORTANT HE WANTS TO SAY TO JOLENE. He is interrupted constantly through the day by random customers because obviously choosing one of the busiest days for the pub is a great day for A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.
- Jazzer isn’t impressed that he’s been left with the pigs to do because Tom has rushed off to Bellinghams. Tony is even less impressed when Jazzer tells him Tom can’t stop talking about what a great guy Rob is. Jazzer is being a bit secretive about the Clan chief has coming to open the fete but he’s planning to put on a show at the Ceilidh.
- Lilian tells Jolene how frustrated and worried she is about Matt. Jolene says she should be pleased she has spoken to him and that Matt is bound to be hurt. Lilian isn’t sure. He didn’t sound as if he felt anything. And Lilian isn’t impressed with Anthea as a temp. Distinctly lacking in charm. And now they have found asbestos in the development at Gilbert’s Cross so everything has come to a halt.
- Jazzer tries to persuade Jamie to go on the booze the day before his 18th birthday. Jamie is firmly sticking to pomegranate juice. Booze and chain saws don’t mix but he’ll celebrate tomorrow. He might still give a crack at the caber tossing though.
- Kenton has another go at his IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT in the middle of the Ceilidh so Jolene puts him out of his misery by telling him, yes, she will marry him.
