  • It’s the opening meet for the S. Borsetshire hunt, and Shula is riding in formal mode, addressing Oliver as ‘Master.’ Lilian is out too, and everyone enjoys a good Autumn day’s riding. When she has a chance, Shula tells Oliver about Alistair’s decision and he is delighted that they will have a new joint master.
  • A late night browsing dating sites puts Roy in a bad mood. Kirsty tells him that now he has a new wardrobe, Roy must update his profile, and offers to take some photographs.
  • Kirsty calls on Helen, just in time to admire Jack’s newfound ability to sit up. She asks how Helen is getting on with completing paperwork for the divorce, and it seems that Helen is slipping back into can’t-do-this mode. But Helen suggests using the reed-beds for the photo-shoot, and Kirsty goes off to find Roy.
  • Lilian arrives at Bridge Farm, almost tripping over the pile of stuff Rob has thrown out. She gently tells Helen that sorting out stuff after Matt left was oddly cathartic, and she offers to help Helen.
  • Kirsty ponders shots at Grey Gables and with a dog. Roy is not sure that they would reflect the real him; this is 21st century dating, Roy, Kirsty points out as she snaps away.
  • Lilian makes considerable progress on Helen’s bin-liners, and says she understands how painful it must be (though the reappearance of Henry’s toy squirrel raises spirits). She urges Helen to get on with lodging rape allegations, but Helen is not willing; it would just be her word against Rob’s. But coercive control is easier to prove and she might go down that road. Lilian encourages her, saying that she has the family to support her. Just think of Christmas with the two boys.
