Leonie turns up to stay with Lynda and Robert after a tiff with James.
Radio Times: Neil offers his assistance, and a mysterious visitor arrives at Ambridge Hall.
Characters: Caroline, Darrell, Lynda, Neil, Shula- Shula is still trying to help Darrell. He’s still very negative. The psychiatrist just gave him anti-depressants. He says he isn’t mad; he did what he did because his life isn’t worth living. He actually felt in control taking the overdose, but now what can he do. Shula tells him that Rosa visited. He thinks she would be better off without him. Neil turns up to visit and actually makes Darrell laugh with a bell ringing incident.
- Lynda is distracted at Grey Gables. Caroline brings the news that Kathy is starting again next week. And then Caroline notices Lynda is correcting the cookbook while on duty and isn’t impressed.
- After visiting time, Shula is still saying he won’t cope. But Neil tells her she can’t fix Darrell any more than she could fix a broken leg. Neil says he’ll try and find out what is happening with social services. She’s done enough already.
- When Lynda gets home, Robert is obviously anxious about something. It turns out Leonie has turned up out of the blue. She is unhappy with James, he spoils everything and she never sees her friends anymore. He never takes anything seriously. She is in floods of tears and is clearly settling in for the long haul. Lynda doesn’t see why she can’t go and see with her friends but Robert is having nothing of it.
- Shula joins Caroline for a drink but while she acknowledges that she can’t take Darrell back, she is still fussing about what will happen to him. And no signs of a reconciliation with Rosa.
