  • George is sulking that he can’t go on his trip. Emma tells him it’s too expensive but he still moans. David catches the end of it and Ed has to admit it was just too expensive. The holidays are proving a struggle. Ed can’t even help out with the picnic because he is off to collect the traps for the badger vaccination. It’s going to be a lot of early starts for him, even though he isn’t going to get paid in the first year.
  • When Matt gets back from his golfing trip Lilian isn’t impressed with his ignoring of Arthur’s leak. She makes it clear she knows what he is up to but he completely denies it. Even when she points out that Darrell told her it was to do with floorboards he had to take up. Matt decides to call a meeting to sort it out.
  • Emma finds it hard to control George later at the playground and Keira isn’t much better. And then it starts to pour with rain and Emma gives up and takes them home.
  • When they have the meeting, Darrell explains what he had done and Matt then tries to put the blame on him and tells him he shouldn’t have left things in a situation endangering them – especially old people. But he still says he wants to work in “the best interest of the tenants”. Lilian isn’t convinced. So she rings Arthur and gives them her mobile number – just in case. Because there aren’t going to be any more out of hours emergencies, are there?
