  • One day it is possible that Kathy will learn to stop talking about the Film Night at work. However it raised around £2,500. Pat is faintly annoyed that after rushing home from the first showing, Helen complained of a headache and wouldn’t go to the second.
  • David and Ruth decide to visit Elizabeth together to find out what the problem is. And it happens to coincide with the beer festival. But Elizabeth sounds better though she still hasn’t been able to sell the building plots.
  • Martyn is pestering Kathy to sack Steve. Kathy is determined to play fair and to hear his side of the story first. Though when she does speak to him he admits he’s been pilfering and she’s sacked him. But Martyn isn’t satisfied and wants him reported to the police. And he wants to know what she is doing about the rest of the staff but Kathy insists that even if they were on the take, they wouldn’t be now.
  • Kenton’s plans for the Italian restaurant fall by the wayside since it has closed down so Elizabeth offers him the facilities at cost – as long as it’s not a weekend.
  • Kathy blames herself for having to sack Steve. She should have known he had a sick wife and was struggling. It wouldn’t be so bad if Martyn wasn’t so nasty but the main problem is Martyn was right and that is what is so humiliating.
