Matt continues to sail close to the wind. Pawel continues to make trouble. Mike continues to dread the future. Tom continues to make ready-meals.

Radio Times: Neil tries to help, and is Pawel playing games?

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • At Amside Properties all is not well. Matt is trying to avoid paying bills, and is unpleasant to Darrell when he drops his time sheet in, accusing Darrell of avoiding him. He asks why Darrell has not taken up all Arthur and Joyce’s floorboards as instructed; Darrell says it would be dangerous, and remarks pointedly that Matt is surely not that kind of landlord.
  • An angry Adam marches Pawel into the office and tells him that his behaviour with Ian was totally inappropriate. Pawel laughs and tells Adam to chill. Since Adam slept with him, it is clear that things are not good between Ian and Adam. Adam angrily denies that, but Pawel says that since Adam clearly no longer likes him, he thought it would be fun to try elsewhere.
  • Neil gives Mike a hand with a recalcitrant pig, and makes a joking remark about food fads in pregnancies. Poor Mike quickly unburdens to a shocked Neil. He hates being on such bad terms with Vicky, but in his heart wonders whether a miscarriage might, in the end, have been less painful for Vicky than a Downs baby. Neil points out that Mike can count on him and Susan as well as his family. He is not facing this alone.
  • Single-minded Tom is fretting over finding a kitchen to prepare ready meals. He hates renting and longs for the day when they build a house at Bridge Farm. Brenda, however, likes living in the centre of the village and would prefer to keep renting.
