Matt’s still under strain, even cancelling golf.
Radio Times: The temperature drops at the Dower House.
Characters: David, Eddie, Lilian, Matt, Ruth, Tom- Tom’s early phone call interrupts Matt’s Sunday morning breakfast in bed. He’s oblivious to Matt’s attempts to keep Sunday to himself and invites himself over.
- Given that Pip’s only eating food that’s come from within five miles, Ruth’s going to try and meet that for family meals until Easter as she’s worried that Pip’s eating nothing but eggs and has her GCSEs to concentrate on. Eddie fails to interest Ruth or David in his half of Fat Paul’s continental chocolate.
- Tom’s puzzled why Matt’s had a change of mind; Brenda doesn’t have any idea either apparently. Matt assures him that he’s a sleeping partner as long as there’s a healthy balance sheet. Tom’s to find out Brian is happy to sell to him, and then Matt will get his legal folks going.
- After Tom’s gone, Matt doesn’t feel like golf after all and wants to cancel. Lilian thinks Tom said something to upset him, but Matt says it’s the whole damn world that’s bothering him; he wants to be left in peace.
