News of Helen’s plight spreads. Kirsty supports Tom.
Radio Times: Eddie needs to find more work and Kirsty is a pillar of support.
Characters: Eddie, Justin, Kirsty, Lilian, Lynda, Tom- Although she is among the fans of Rob, Lynda is sympathetic about Helen’s plight of being remanded in prison for four months. Pat has not been seen since the hearing. Eddie is fixing the new rotating cowl to Lynda’s shepherd’s hut and is looking for more work: he has a debt to pay – not his. Lynda offers the construction of a small paved area with an ornamental seat and a pathway. Instead of money up front, she will accompany him to the builder yard and garden centre and pay for what is needed there and then. Oh. Eddie realises there will be no markup to be made.
- Lilian is still smarting from her brusque treatment at the hand of Miranda. Justin is very apologetic and to mark the end of a successful week he invites Lilian to lunch at La Femme du Monde – very posh. Over lunch, Justin describes a visit from Eddie trying to sell him some junk; she lets him into the secret that Eddie’s junk came from the very same jumble sale as the ‘chinese’ vases that Miranda liked.
- Kirsty has come to see Pat but spots Tom in a field. They don’t know when they can visit and they still have to break it to Helen that Pat cannot see her. Everything is piling up and getting on top of him. Kirsty is supportive and suggests that he takes a break – now. Let’s go for a drink; he will work all the better afterwards.
