Nigel and Elizabeth choose Lorna as Kathy’s replacement. There is beginning to be a split in the Home Farm family over Clarrie’s petition.

Nigel and Lizzie are beginning their process of selecting a replacement for Kathy. They end up choosing Lorna from the shortlist. On the same day, they have a visit from a dry stone waller. The haha wall is a bit to experienced for his normal students but he is prepared to give it a bash.
Alice seems to be being more sympathetic to Brian taking Ruairi to Ireland than Jennifer who seems to be trying to ignore the whole thing. Alice ends up helping Adam weed the maze. Not an easy task – especially when they have to go bowling with the pickers. It gives Adam the chance to suggest Alice introduces her favourite picker to cricket at the single wicket on Sunday.
Brian realises Jennifer is unhappy about him going to Ireland so he offers a box at Ascot on Ladies Day. But she is more keen on getting them sorted out with a holiday and uses Adam as a weapon. Alice interrupts before they reach a conclusion.
Alice produces the petition to stop the development at Bridge Farm Clarrie is trying to get signed. She has offered to take it to Grey Gables for the staff. Adam happily signs up but Brian and Jennifer refuse.
