Pat blames Clarrie for putting children’s lives at risk and the forthcoming collapse of Bridge Farm.
Radio Times: Pat struggles to contain her anger. Meanwhile, competition is hotting up for Sunday’s fete.
Characters: Clarrie, Nic, Pat, Susan, Tom, William- Tom is moving all of Helen’s stuff from the flat so Rhys can move in. Susan is anxious about the tests on the dairy but Tom won’t give her any details. Will says Clarrie is blaming herself too.
- Pat knows she has to talk to Clarrie and Susan. She can’t believe Clarrie can have been so stupid. She has put the entire enterprise at risk. How can they ever recover from this? Tom tries to stress that the most important thing is putting things right – like getting the dairy steam cleaned.
- Nic is telling Clarrie about the scarecrows around the village. But she’s not very interested. She can’t relax until she hears from Bridge Farm. Will is cooking up something to give his scarecrow the edge. Something he hopes Eddie can fix but he’s not telling.
- Pat tells Susan it will be a while before they can reopen the dairy. She is relieved to hear it isn’t anything she did.
- Pat isn’t very calm when she talks to Clarrie. Clarrie can’t believe it and Pat blames her – she’s put the lives of children at risk and the business will go under and it will all be Clarrie’s fault. Just the sort of supportive employer an unskilled employee needs.
