Paul takes Lilian much against her better judgement to Felpersham Races where they bump into Andrew Eagleton. Lilian insists they leave and Paul shows his nasty side again.

• Paul and Lilian are planning another day out (or in..). It’s a secret but Paul says they will have the time of their lives. It turns out that he has planned a day out at Felpersham Races and Lilian is terrified that someone will spot them. She doesn’t want to go and is even more worried when he says he has booked seats in the grandstand.
• Pat and Tony are feeling sorry for Pip having smashed up her car. Tony says you never stop worrying about kids but Pat’s focus is on selling the cows. Rodways tells them they should wait a couple of months. Pat suddenly is keen to dump them sooner but he convinces them that somewhere between silage and harvest would be best. They might raise £200k which surprises them pleasantly. Pat is more upbeat than Tony who thinks it might just cheer up Tom a bit. But he’d probably give it all up to get Brenda back.
• Paul insists they carry on but Lilian is more and more nervous and won’t even let him touch her. Then Andrew Eagleton from the BL Board appears and comes over to talk to them. Lilian tries to convince him that Paul is “Steve the architect” but she isn’t sure he bought it. She insists on leaving. Paul tries to convince her to stay but she won’t. Paul turns on her and says she should be thinking about him not Matt. After all the trouble and expense he has gone to. Lilian says she’ll try to make it up to him.
