  • David is enjoying his birthday and looking forward to a night away and with a trip to the theatre. Josh gave him a ticket to the Comedy Night but probably only because he found out he couldn’t go himself because he is under 18. The best thing though is a card and present from Elizabeth. It turns out it’s a book of photos of Borsetshire including a picture of Brookfield 100 years ago with an inscription from Elizabeth looking forward to the future.
  • Pawel is trying to find Adam to say goodbye because he is leaving tomorrow but he isn’t around. Jennifer offers him coffee instead. He more or less tells her he is gay though Jennifer sees it more as just living away from home and hopes that things will be better when he gets back to Poland.
  • It’s also Joe’s birthday and he is spending it trying to cadge drinks at The Bull while Rhys is trying to sell him tickets for the comedy as well. Joe and Eddie are shocked with the news about the baby too. Joe thinks he is very brave but Eddie is worried what he might say to Mike about it.
  • When Ruth and David get to The Bull they buy another ticket from Rhys for the show and it’s clear he is giving everyone the hard sell – even Bob Pullen. He says he just really doesn’t want to disappoint Fallon….
