Peggy is getting very stressed about Lilian, the wedding and how it is affecting Christine. Pip has an appointment at the clinic on Thursday and wonders if she should tell Toby.

Radio Times: Jennifer is concerned

Elizabeth drops in to Brookfield. Pip says she has arranged an appointment at the clinic for Thursday but she is adamant that no one, including Toby should know.
Jennifer has taken Peggy into town for a haircut and she also wants to buy a wedding gift. But nothing has happened recently. Lilian hasn’t told her anything about what she wants and Tony hasn’t heard anything about being a witness. They are chatting about who is going where over Christmas when Peggy goes very quiet and Jennifer comments how pale she is. At the hairdressers, Peggy has to be given a cup of tea. She claims it is just a dizzy moment. Jennifer wants her to go to the Doctor but she won’t. Jennifer gets it into her head that it is Christine’s problems that are making Peggy ill. She keeps Peggy up talking about Matt. Peggy can’t imagine how he let himself worm back into village life. But she really must see Lilian. Jennifer says she will deal with it. It’s time they had a good long chat.
Elizabeth meets up with Jill. She has donated some free Deck the Halls vouchers for the WI raffle. Jill knows something is going on. She knows that Elizabeth has been lying about something. They chat about other things including the twins’ birthday. Lily will be off to university soon and Freddie has itchy feet.
Pip begins to wonder if she should tell Toby about the pregnancy. Elizabeth tells her it is entirely up to her.
