Peggy is reluctant to discuss her problems. Emma is glad to discuss hers.

Radio Times: Peggy gets a rude awakening.

Characters: Emma, Hayley, Jack, Peggy, Roy

• Peggy tries to get a disturbed and anxious Jack to bed. She succeeds, but later is very distressed to find that he has gone outside, apparently looking for the tram to Stirchley. Luckily Roy comes across him, and helps Peggy to get Jack into the house.
• Emma and Hayley enjoy a girls’ night in. Hayley’s excited because she and Roy are putting in an offer on 1 The Green. Emma’s pleased for her, but wishes she had a place of her own. She tells Hayley how much it hurts to see Ed and Fallon together. She still loves Ed, and wants to be with him. Hayley tries to tell her that she’ll meet the right man sometime, but Emma can think only of Ed.
• Peggy is very grateful to Roy, and Roy is very concerned for Peggy. He asks whether she can manage Jack, but Peggy’s defences go up. She doesn’t need any help. Roy thinks otherwise.
