  • Plans are being made in The Bull: to buy a house or to buy out Lilian’s share of the pub – maybe both. So it is clear that Kenton, still ignorant of his sisters’ decisions, has reached the same conclusion: take the money. As luck would have it Kenton soon bumps into David and tells him of his decision. He had expected that Elizabeth would want her share but is surprised to learn about Shula. It will be easier for David and Ruth, though David is a bit sad about it all; it’s so final. An email from Brian reminds him that Brian doesn’t know yet; how is David going to tell him?
  • Peggy is on her way to the hospital with Tom. Tony has taken a turn for the worse – some kind of infection – so they thought Peggy should come and see him. Tom has tried to prepare her for a shock but it still takes her breath away when she sees him. Tom assures his gran that her son can hear them, so he leaves her alone with him. She tells him she loves him and she apologises for her mistakes, particularly her decision to leave him out of her will. This is beginning to sound final too. (Will the last Archer to leave please turn out the lights!)
