Pip is committed, Lilian digs into Matt’s business and Harrison makes enquiries.
Radio Times: Harrison has questions for one villager
Characters: Alistair, Harrison, Lilian, Matt, Philomena Woodruff, Pip, Ruth- Alistair is at Brookfield taking a routine blood sample and compliments Pip on the health of the herd. Ruth asks Pip how she would feel about expanding the herd, but wants her commitment to Brookfield. Pip says she is completely committed. Ruth asks Pip when she is moving back to Rickyard. Pip wants to stay at Lower Loxley to be company for Lily.
- Lilian struggles to help Matt going to the toilet. He wants to move to another hotel. He bemoans Lilian’s decision not to go away with him after the Hunt Ball. He’s determined not to go back to hospital
- Philomena Woodruff calls Lilian as she is unable to get hold of Matt. Lilian starts enquiring into why Matt wanted to buy Chinese Lantern, as he is past his best. Lilian suggests the two of them go for a ride later.
- Harrison pops in to see Matt. Matt is very dismissive and sarcastic. Harrison is concerned for Matt’s medical condition and wants to update him on his investigation. Officially, it is a hit and run. Matt isn’t interested and says it was just an accident and wants the investigation to stop.
- Philomena and Lilian come across Alistair as they return to The Stables. After Philomena leaves, Alistair muses over who Philomena’s vet is. He and Lilian then go on to discuss how Anisha did some pre-purchase inspections for Matt. She asks about Chinese Lantern and is told that he is ready for retirement
- Harrison goes to the Dower House to quiz Lilian about Justin’s whereabouts on the night of Matt’s accident. Lilian states that he left the Hunt Ball due to a migraine and went home alone.
