  • Emma is still trying to sort out the cafe with a good clean before the opening. Rob continues to make jibes about chipped crockery and mismatched plates. Then Helen rings asking Rob to take her into town to buy a dress for Adam and Ian’s wedding but Rob won’t have anything of it. The doorbell rings when she is on the phone and it is Ursula, Rob’s Mum.
  • Ed is talking to Oliver about repainting the graffiti from the living room at Grange Farm following the break in. Oliver insists Ed charges him for his time. Oliver realises something isn’t quite right and presses him. Ed tells him everything that is going on. Oliver says they are thinking of him. Emma turns up with mince pies so Ed hangs up.
  • Ursula seems to know that the baby is a boy which rather surprises Helen. Even her parents don’t know the sex. She has brought some gifts. Ursula tries to encourage Helen to have a home birth but Helen says that isn’t an option given the pre-eclampsia. Rob turns up at home and is surprised to see Ursula there. Everyone seems rather confused.
  • Emma enjoys looking around Grange Farm. She doesn’t think she would ever leave if she lived there. Ed remembers his childhood and how Joe used to think he had everything. Ed gets into a state remembering how Joe was last time they were evicted. Emma, for some reason, insists they dance together to create one more happy memory.
  • As Ursula leaves, she suggests Rob should ask his brother to be a godparent which Rob hastily brushes aside and Helen says she was thinking of Adam and Ian. Rob brushes that away too. Once Ursula leaves Rob is clearly angry at the mention of Adam and Ian. They are immoral and not the sort of influence they want on his son. She should have consulted him first … well shouldn’t she?
