  • Over one of their lovely lunches, Rob praises Helen’s cooking, but his oily charm is suddenly switched off when Tina rings to say Environmental Health have been in and discovered out of date stock in the freezer. Helen needs to go and sort things out – but not if Rob has anything to do with it. Earlier he claimed to be going into Borchester for supplies; now, when Helen asks him to fetch Henry on his way back, Rob finds excuses. For once Helen wins; Rob will fetch Henry.
  • As Bert finishes work in Carol’s garden, he suggests some dance practice. Joe appears at the gate as Bert leaves, and starts a jealous row.
  • The meeting Rob claims to be having is actually a phone conversation with Jess. At his nastiest, Rob says he will have nothing to do with Ethan and makes sneering remarks about the name. He will not be taking a DNA test, nor will he pay maintenance to Jess’s ‘little bastard.’
  • Helen finds a lot wrong at the shop, but enjoys sorting it out. Rob arrives with Henry, and a noticeable coolness between him and Tina is apparent. Rob demands to know what is for supper. Helen points out that it is the dance class tonight, so they will just have a takeaway. Rob is seriously displeased.
  • Carol and Ian enjoy dancing together, while her jealous rivals glower and feud. Helen arrives alone, saying Rob was not keen to come. She asks how the wedding plans are going. Apparently Adam is too busy looking for work to make plans. But at least he is shot of Charlie Thomas.
