  • Roy isn’t looking forward to a family lunch with Mike and Vicky. They aren’t sure how it will go after the last family meal they had. They are both very nervous. But in the end, they are surprised to hear that Mike can barely bring himself to leave the baby’s room while he is decorating. He is even making suggestions for friezes and agrees that Vicky can start telling people.
  • Jim has produced his authentic loaf for the flour and produce show. But Oliver has had to disappear to look after his sick grandchild in Bristol. Jim is obviously confident he will win but then Jazzer turns up with his entry. Neither Jim nor Jazzer win anything – but Jazzer was disqualified for using a breadmaker. He doesn’t see that is any worse than using a Roman oven. And Jazzer is convinced that Oliver only won because Caroline made his loaf for him. And then to add insult to injury, Ian decides Jim should get a special prize for his creation!
  • Jazzer tells Caroline that he is having a problem finding a new lodger but Caroline works out it’s because he is going for the “lived in” look.
