Ruth “lets slip” to Adam about the threats and asks him to talk David out of testifying.

Characters: Adam, Brenda, Hayley, Ian, Josh, Phoebe, Roy, Ruth, Vicky- Vicky is getting excited about the Ambridge Cultural Olympiad. But Brenda is less than impressed to find out that she has been nominated to help with the publicity. Her news though, is that Matt has got tickets for the Men’s Final at Wimbledon for Lilian’s birthday.
- Josh tells Phoebe about his trip up to Heather’s. He’s looking forward to getting off school early but will miss being on the farm for the harvest. He’d hoped to try driving a tractor this year.
- Roy and Hayley are getting on with redoing Phoebe’s bedroom. Roy is getting more convinced that it is the right thing though fairy lights around the headboard….. And later they all Skype her to wish her Happy Birthday. Vicky gets carried away with suggesting a family holiday and suggests that Mike should pay for it. When Phoebe leaves the room, Brenda has a go about her committing Mike but Hayley is more worried that Phoebe didn’t sound very interested in coming home.
- Ruth finally tells Adam what is going on. She thought Josh had let it slip; he hadn’t but she had blurted it out. She even tells him she wants him to talk David out of testifying.
- Adam tells Ian about the threats. Ian thinks David should still testify – what if next time the gang actually does kill someone. But Adam thinks he has to think about Ruth and David’s family as a priority. Ian tells him he doesn’t want anyone else to go through what he went through. Adam needs to take time to think about it.
